Employee posting and intra-group mobility schemes allow international groups to temporarily assign their employees to France within a strict legal framework governed by French and European law. Each situation requires a precise analysis of the employee’s status, the nature of the mission, and the links between the group’s entities.
JJP Visas Consulting offers an “A to Z” package to support employers and employees in obtaining the appropriate visas and residence permits, as well as managing procedures after arrival in France.
Which residence permits for posting and intra-group mobility?
Depending on the case, several permits can be considered:
- Multi-year residence permit marked ‘ICT Detached Employee’ (Intra-Corporate Transfer).
- Residence permit marked ‘Talent – Employee on Mission’.
The first scheme targets employees who remain bound by an employment contract with the company established abroad. The ‘Talent’ scheme generally implies a local contract with the French host entity.

The Three Steps of the “A to Z” Package
Step 1: Strategic Analysis and Administrative Compliance
The success of a posting mission depends on its legal structuring. We intervene on:
- Analysis of eligibility for the ICT or Talent scheme (seniority, remuneration, diploma).
- Verification of posting conditions (SIPSI declaration, appointment of a representative in France).
- Preparation of administrative files for the company and the employee.
Step 2: Visa Application and Consular Follow-up
We handle the operational management of the applications:
- Digital entry on the official France-Visas platform.
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating with diplomatic representations.
- Checking the consistency of the file before submission.
Step 3: Formalities in France and Post-Arrival Tracking
After arrival, we secure the employee’s stay:
- Online validation of the VLS-TS or filing of the residence permit application at the prefecture.
- Guidance for initial administrative steps (Social Security, housing).
- Monitoring the mission’s duration and renewal alerts.
